  • Lineup announced for Summer in the Park Concert Series presented by Seidel's Brandsource The Summer in the Park Concert Series is back for 2025 presented by Seidel's BrandSource Home Furnishings! Summer is fast approaching, and to help celebrate 70 years of Elliot Lake we have an extra special summer concert series lineup including talent from all over Elliot Lake, Algoma and Ontario! Starting us off on June 30th as part of this year's Heritage Days Festivities will be The Dustcovers! The husband and wife duo of Tom and Alyssa have been playing music together for years, performing a variety of acoustic music in their own signature style including covers and originals. Next up on July 18th we have local favourite Harmony! Veterans of the Summer in the Park Concert Series, Debbie, Sheila and Mike have played at festivals and events all across Algoma and Sudbury with their relaxed acoustic style and make an excellent addition to this year's concert series! The exercise is being coordinated to provide a training opportunity and evaluate interagency response capabilities.
  • Fire Tower Lookout Open for the Season Time to get out and experience the best view in Algoma Elliot Lake! The Fire Tower Lookout is now open for the summer season. Please note that the bathrooms will not be available at the lookout until next week.
  • Burley 1 and 2 Baseball Fields Closed for Maintenance The City is requesting that residents please refrain from using the Burley 1 and 2 Baseball Fields located behind Our Lady of Lourdes School at this time as they are undergoing Spring Maintenance on the dirt and grass. Estimated time for completion of this work is Friday, May 16th.

  • City Boat Launches Opening Today City staff are now working on opening the Elliot Lake Boat Launch, Dunlop Boat Launches and Quirke Boat Launch by the end of the day on May 6th. The Esten Lake and Depot lake boat launch will remain closed at this time as water levels remain too high.

  • Water at City Facilities Being Turned on Wednesday, May 7 City Staff will be turning on many of the city facilities water system on Wednesday May 7th, 2025 starting at 8:30 am until 2 pm. This will include Burley Park and it’s washrooms, Spine Beach, Spruce Beach and their washrooms, Westview Park and the Simpson/Westview trailer park.
