  • Ruben Yli-Juuti Centre Update - December 10, 2025 During the December 8, 2025 City of Elliot Lake Council Meeting City Staff provided an update to council regarding the repair work being done at the Ruben Yli-Juuti Centre following the acid leak in the Pool’s Mechanical Room. Following the incident, Staff worked with a specialized group to preserve and stabilize the mechanical room equipment to prevent any further corrosion from occurring.

  • 2026 Budget Public Opinion Survey Result Highlights The City of Elliot Lake is pleased to share a few highlights from a recent independent public-opinion survey conducted by Mainstreet Research, one of Canada's leading and most accurate polling firms regarding the Rogers Arena project. The survey utilized randomized phone sampling of Elliot Lake residents and Census-based weighting to ensure that its findings accurately reflect the broader population of Elliot Lake.
  • Cleanup Underway After Significant Weather Event The City of Elliot Lake is currently working to clean up after a Significant Weather Event. Public Works crews are working diligently, but it may take longer than normal to ensure public safety and that the roadways, sidewalks, and transit bus stops meet normal maintenance standards.

  • Elliot Lake Sign at Spruce Beach Temporarily Removed for Restoration The Heart Elliot Lake Sign located at Spruce Beach has been temporarily removed so that City staff can perform a few general maintenance and restoration jobs to it before the winter months. Once the restoration has been completed the sign will be reinstalled.
