The Voting period for the 2026 Municipal Election has now begun. The voting period will last until 8pm on October 26th. Until that time voters will be able to make their selections and cast their vote online using the information contained in your Voter Information Letter which you received in the mail. Mayor and Council are very pleased to announce that Mr. Matthew Hough has been appointed as the City of Elliot Lake’s new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective March 16, 2026.
Weir Canada has begun an expansion to their facility in Elliot Lake. This project will add floor space to their building and introduce new specialized equipment to increase the breadth of their offering from the location.
Due to the cold weather the Hydrant Flow Testing scheduled to take place today has been postponed to Friday February 27, 2026 from 10am till 2pm
