  • Panel Mine Road Closed Monday, July 14 at 8am until Saturday, July 19 Please be aware, Panel Mine Road will be closed to the public beginning Monday, July 14th at 8am until Saturday, July 19th. This closure is being done to allow BHP to perform maintenance to the Power Line from the corner of Panel Mine Road and Highway 108 to the Panel Mine Site.

  • Portion of Fire Tower Lookout Closed July 12 and 13 for Bike Race Please Be Advised, a portion of the Fire Tower Lookout Parking Lot as well as the lookout cupola will be closed to the public during this weekend’s Dufour Downhill Bike Race. The lookout will still be open to the public Additionally, there will be increased traffic in the Milliken Mine Rd.

Kids aged 5-12 will have an exciting hands-on opportunity to learn and practice essential bike-handling and traffic skills from instructors in a fun atmosphere! Join Algoma Public Health and the Ontario Provincial Police - North East Region and learn about the importance of bike and road safety and how you can prevent injuries before they happen. The facility will remain closed until further notice as staff and contractors take the time to evaluate the situation and ensure that the Ruben Yli-Juuti Municipal Pool remains safe to be enjoyed.

We are working on finding a new date for the Bike Rodeo and will share more info.
