  • Pickleball and the Walking Program at Collins Hall are both returning September 2nd! Come try one of the fastest growing sports in Canada and keep active this Fall and Winter season! The walking program schedule is: Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 11:30am Cost: $2.25 for a drop-in or $24 for a monthly pass.
  • Congratulations to Serpent River First Nation on the ground breaking at 80 Dieppe Ave Mayor Wannan and members of Council were on hand to celebrate the ground-breaking ceremony held by Serpent River First Nation at 80 Dieppe Ave Monday afternoon. This location will be the site of a 22-unit townhome complex.
  • Upcoming Water Main Flushing Notice Water Main Flushing Notice Monday September 15th, 2025 to Friday September 19th and Monday September 22nd to Friday September 26th. Between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm The City of Elliot Lake will be conducting a Water Main Flushing on Mississauga Ave.
  • Boil Water Advisory Lifted for 26 & 39 Perini and 12 Kilborn Way Please be advised that all bacteriological samples taken in this area have returned from the laboratory showing no evidence of contamination. We have notified the Algoma Health unit and as a result, the boil water advisory issued for this location is now rescinded.
  • City of Elliot Lake Attends AMO Conference in Ottawa Earlier this week the City of Elliot Lake attended the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa and was very fortunate to secure delegations with Six ministries including: - Ministry of Health with Parliamentary Assistant Anthony Leardi - Ministry of Northern Economic Development and Growth with Minister George Pirie - Ministry of of Sport with Minister Neil Lumsden - Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility with Minister Raymond Cho - Ministry of Infrastructure with Parliamentary Assistant Amarjot Sandu - Ministry of Rural Affairs with Parliamentary Assistant Robert Bailey MPP Bill Rosenberg also attended several of the meetings to offer his support. These delegations included discussions about issues facing Elliot Lake and the team received feedback on supports available from our Provincial Government.
  • Last day for Lifeguards at Spine Beach is August 26th Please be aware, a number of our lifeguards will be returning to their post-secondary schools in the coming weeks. Due to this, Tuesday, August 26th will be the final day that Spine Beach will be staffed with lifeguards this season.
  • Boil Water Advisory issued for 26 & 39 Perini and 12 Kilborn Way Effective Monday August 18, 2025 A Boil Water Advisory is being issued for 26 & 39 Perini and 12 Kilborn Way Whenever any kind of repair or construction on the water supply system either planned or an emergency, there is a risk of soil or other contaminants entering the water supply. Although this risk is very low, a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) is issued to all residents, businesses and public facilities located along this area of the water supply system.
