  • Call For Tourism Advisory Working Group Members Are you passionate about tourism? Do you love where you live and want to share your enthusiasm with the world? The City of Elliot Lake is seeking community members to be part of the Tourism Advisory Working Group and contribute as stakeholders in Elliot Lake. This group will meet about 6 times a year (in person or online) to discuss current tourism successes and challenges, workshop ideas for the future and keep track of the City’s progress on our Tourism Strategy.
  • Boil Water Advisory issued for 44 Bouck and 46 to 60 Kostuik A Boil Water Advisory is being issued for 44 Bouck and 46 to 60 Kostuik Whenever any kind of repair or construction on the water supply system either planned or an emergency, there is a risk of soil or other contaminants entering the water supply. Although this risk is very low, a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) is issued to all residents, businesses and public facilities located along this area of the water supply system.
  • Emergency Water Shut-Off Notice for 44 Bouck and 46 to 60 Kostuik Emergency Water Shut-Off Notice for 44 Bouck and 46 to 60 Kostuik Please be advised the water service in this area will be shut off today, Wednesday January 21st, 2026 immediately for an emergency water main break repair. Please refrain from using any water until it is restored upon completion of the repairs.
  • City of Elliot Lake sends delegation to ROMA 2026 The Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) is the rural voice of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO). This year, the City sent a delegation to the annual conference comprised of Councilors Bull, Seidel & Flintoff and CAO Mr.
  • Economic Development Town Hall - January 28 Come and join the Economic Development department for their Quarterly Town Hall. The event is being held at 7pm Wednesday January 28th at City Hall, 45 Hillside Dr N.
  • Kiwanis Park Outdoor Rink Now Open Time to lace up your skates Elliot Lake! Mother Nature has finally given us some good ice making conditions and after lots of hard work by City Staff the Outdoor Rink at Kiwanis Park (25 Dieppe Ave) is officially open for use! Please remember to use the provided trash cans as well as wear a helmet and take all necessary safety precautions when using the rink. Always remember to respect others who may be using the rink at the same time.
  • 2026 Senior of the Year Nominations Now Open! Since 1994 the Senior of the Year Award honours one outstanding local senior in each municipality in Ontario who after the age of 65 has enriched the social, cultural or civic life of the community. Nominees must be: At least 65 years of age A resident of Ontario A living person who has made their community a better place to live Nominated by the City of Elliot Lake Seniors who qualify for this award may have contributed to any number of fields such as the arts, literature, community service, volunteering, education, environment, fitness and humanitarian activities.

  • Frozen Water Lines Possible due to Cold Temperatures Due to the very cold weather, we are recommending homeowners to let your cold water run as a preventative measure to keep your pipes from freezing. A small flow, approximately the diameter of a pencil, is all that is required to reduce the risk of frozen service.
  • Rural Ontario Development (ROD) Program Applications Begin Soon Attention not for profit groups The second intake of the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) grant is approaching. What is eligible? Local services boards and not-for-profit organizations in rural Ontario can apply through the following streams: - Economic diversification, competitiveness and capacity building: projects that support communities to build economic development capacity and implement strategies that increase competitiveness to retain businesses, attract investment and enhance growth.
