The City of Elliot Lake is welcoming the Ontario government’s continued investment in Northern Ontario, following the release of Budget 2026 by Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy.

Due to the Easter weekend a number of City Facilities will be closed or operating on different hours this Friday through Monday. Here is a breakdown of everything you need to know. 

MP Sheehan met today with Mayor Wannan, Councillor Flintoff and City Staff to discuss opportunities for the City. The conversation focused on funding opportunities for Elliot Lake as we’ll as programs available from the Government of Canada to increase the quality of life for residents.

The City would like to advise Motorists to please drive with increased caution due to significant potholes that have formed around the City due to the recent changes in temperature causing areas of the road to deteriorate.
