The water service in this area will be shut off tomorrow, Wednesday September 23, 2026 at approximately 8AM for an emergency water main break repair.

A Boil Water Advisory is being issued for 29 – 59 Lakeview Rd. Flushing is also being performed in the area.

Due to a low chlorine residual, a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) is issued to all residents, businesses and public facilities located along this area of the water supply system.

The Ontario government is investing $2 million through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to help the City of Elliot Lake make critical structural repairs and upgrades to the Rogers Arena. 

The time has come for friends and family to prepare for the winter by removing all above ground memorial artifacts from Woodlands Cemetery. AFTER OCTOBER 30TH staff will be performing this task on your behalf.

All bacteriological samples taken in this area have returned from the laboratory showing no evidence of contamination.

We have notified the Algoma Health unit and as a result, the boil water advisory issued for this location is now rescinded.

As of this afternoon, the Explore Elliot Lake Rest Area and Trailhead at the corner of Highway 108 and 17 will be closing for the season.

Following the completion of the majority of the facility’s repairs, we are pleased to announce a phased reopening beginning Monday, September 14.

Collins Hall will be closing from September 8-21 while we give the floor a much needed refresh!
