Building and Planning Permits

Download a City of Elliot Lake building permit application and see more information about how to complete a building permit. Once your building permit has been approved, someone from the building department will contact you with an application number and an amount owing.

City Hall is open by appointment only, so we suggest that you either send in a cheque (made payable to the City of Elliot Lake) or pay online. After filling out and submitting your online payment form please either email or call the building department at 705.848.2287 ext. 2119 to book an appointment to pick up your permits/documents.

If you have a dog or cat, you must purchase a pet tag. You can now register and pay for your pet tags from the comfort of your own home using our handy online payment form and your pet tag will be mailed to the address provided at no extra cost.
