Arena and Outdoor Rinks

Rogers Arena

Rogers Arena, formerly Centennial Arena, is located at 180 Spruce Avenue and includes:

  • A regulation-sized ice pad (ice installed from September to March);
  • 6 dressing rooms and a referee's room; and
  • A canteen.

You can book Rogers Arena for private ice times or various functions, trade shows, conferences, concerts and other large events.

For Rogers Arena inquiries and rentals, please contact our Recreation Staff at recreation@elliotlake.ca or call 705-848-2287 ext. 2300.

Name Change

Our municipal indoor rink was originally constructed in 1967 and named Centennial Arena as it was a Canadian Centennial project. The rink has been renamed as Rogers Arena due an extremely generous $3,000,000 donation by Edward and Suzanne Rogers in November 2024 to assist in restoration efforts after the building was closed due to structural issues.

Jamie and Jo-Ann Armstrong Arena Fundraising Challenge

Jamie and Jo-Ann Armstrong kicked off an arena fundraising challenge in 2024 to help facilitate the repairs needed to reopen our community arena. The pair donated over $338,000 and thanks to their efforts and generosity, the fund raised over $1,000,000 through community support.

Elliot Lake is Kraft Hockeyville

Elliot Lake was officially declared as the recipient of the Kraft Hockeyville title in March 2024.
