2026 Dates: Monday June 1 to Saturday, June 6 (Excluding June 2)
During Landfill Amnesty residents are permitted to bring approximately 2 cubic meters (equivalent of a full size ½ ton truck box) of waste to the landfill at no charge.
Tipping fees will be waived for residential waste at the Landfill site on the following dates:
| Monday June 1 | Noon to 7pm |
| Wednesday June 3 to Friday June 5 | Noon to 7pm |
| Saturday June 6 | 9am to 5pm |
*Regular tipping fees will remain in place on Tuesday June 2nd to allow for regularly scheduled municipal waste collection to take place.
Additional Info
In order to reduce landfill operating costs and extend landfill life, we ask that waste be separated such as metal from household items or yard waste. Other items not welcomed at the landfill can be disposed of:
• Vehicle batteries: can be brought to Napa on Hwy 108
• Think before you throw: can it be donated, sold or up-cycled?
Regular tipping fees will apply to commercial, construction and demolition waste.
Hazardous Waste
Hazardous waste is not accepted at the landfill at any time. That includes: paints and coatings (and their empty containers), solvents, oil and containers, oil filters, batteries, antifreeze and containers, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides and containers, car bodies, parts and tires.
The municipality holds a Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste Collection Day annually which allows for Hazardous Waste to be dropped off at the Public Works office for disposal. More info can be found on the Hazardous Waste Page.
