Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Hold a valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Have reliable access to a vehicle to respond quickly to emergency scenes
- Be familiar with the streets and neighbourhoods of Elliot Lake
- Able to follow direction from Fire Department officers with professionalism
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Capable of performing calmly and effectively under stressful, high-pressure situations
- Willing and able to participate fully in all required Fire Service training and certification
- Able to pass annual department physical fitness test
- Able to pass a vulnerable sector criminal background check
- Able to pass a medical examination and be confirmed fit for duty by a qualified physician
