Significant Winter Storm Alert: Please Be Patient with Crews
A significant winter storm is approaching with the possibility of up to 75cm of snow, which will create dangerous travel conditions and high-volume snow accumulation.
Our municipal crews are prepping for a full-scale response and will be working around the clock to clear roads, sidewalks, and priority areas.
We ask for your patience and support:
Progress Takes Time: During major events, clearing operations can take several days to complete. Crews must pass the same roads multiple times to keep up with intense accumulation.
Safety First: Please give snowplows and snow-blowing equipment plenty of space to work. Never pass a working plow, as they are wider than average vehicles and create severe blind spots.
Keep Streets Clear: Please park vehicles off the street where possible, as parked cars significantly hinder snow removal.
Be Patient with Windrows: We understand that being "plowed in" is frustrating, but crews must prioritize clearing a path through the center of the street first.
Please stay home if you can. If you must travel, drive to conditions and allow extra time.
Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting our crews as they work tirelessly to keep our community safe!
