SCHEDULED BI-WEEKLY FLUSHING
For residences between 29-59 Lakeview that are on the boil water advisory

Starting today, Thursday October 1, 2026, the City of Elliot Lake will be implementing a scheduled Water Main Flushing for Lakeview area every Tuesdays and Thursdays to try and resolve the low chlorine residual issue.

This may result in temporary discolouration as well as interruptions in service. If you encounter discolouration, simply run the cold water until it clears.

Make sure your cold water is clear before attempting to use any hot water during the flushing period as damage may be caused to your hot water tank.

An autoflusher has been purchased and is expected to arrive within 4 weeks. Once received it will be our priority to have it installed right away.

We understand the frustration and difficulties from the boil water advisory and we appreciate your patience and understanding in trying to resolve this issue.
