Rogers Arena Update - July 15th, 2025

At the July 14th Council meeting, Council members received an update from City Staff and Dr. Tingley in regards to repair efforts at the Rogers Arena.

 

Foundation work is continuing to move forward at the arena after a brief pause to allow for additional engineering work to be performed after excavation earlier this summer revealed unexpected variations in the size and orientation of the existing foundation piers, complicating the installation of the new foundation. This led to a revised design by the engineering team which has now been approved to move forward allowing work on the foundation to resume.

 

At the same meeting, Council approved an additional $343,599.88 to implement these changes to the design. Contractors are now on site installing micropiles.
