TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Elliot Lake will hold a public meeting on the 10th day of February 2025, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at 45 Hillside Drive North and/or by Zoom.
Any person interested may, by way of signed, written submission, provide comments on the proposed Amendments. Such submission shall be accepted by the City Clerk prior to the Hearing by February 5th, 2025 and such written submissions shall be available for inspection by any interested person. The purpose of this public meeting is to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act for the properties municipally known as 12,16, 20, 24, 54, 60, 64, 70,74,78 Ste. Camillus Crescent and 76, 80 Taylor Boulevard in the City of Elliot Lake. The effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the affected properties from the ‘Residential One and Two-Unit Dwelling (R1M) Zone’ to the ‘Residential One and Two-Unit Dwelling Special Exception 2 (R1M-2) Zone’ in order to permit the following provisions for semi-detached buildings:
maximum lot coverage of 45% and minimum lot width for corner lots of 23.9 metres.
IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED of the decision of the Council of the City of Elliot Lake on the proposed Amendment, you must make a written request to the City of Elliot Lake.
IF A SPECIFIED PERSON, PUBLIC BODY, OR REGISTERED OWNER of any lands to which the by-law would apply, would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the City of Elliot Lake to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the specified person, public body, or registered owner of any lands to which the by-law would apply, does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to City of Elliot Lake before the by-law is passed, the specified person, public body, or registered owner of any lands to which the by-law would apply, is not entitled to appeal the decision.
IF A SPECIFIED PERSON, PUBLIC BODY, OR REGISTERED OWNER of any lands to which the by-law would apply, does not make oral submissions at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the City of Elliot Lake before the by-law is passed, specified person, public body, or registered owner of any lands to which the by-law would apply, may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
