NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT FOR A MINOR VARIANCE APPLICATION (1)

Take notice that the Committee of Adjustment for the City of Elliot Lake will hold a Hearing on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at the hour of 10:00 A.M. via Zoom, to consider an Application for Minor Variance submitted by Codi Beaudin and Erin Forman.

Any person interested may, by way of signed, written submission, indicate as to whether they are in favour of or against the application. Such submission shall be accepted by the Secretary-Treasurer prior to the Hearing by April 3rd, 2025, and such written submissions shall be available for inspection by any interested person. A written copy of the Notice may be obtained by contacting the undersigned.

The application in question is in respect of land owned by Codi Beaudin and Erin Forman, which is more particularly described as follows:
6 Lakeview Road, being more particularly described as BLK E, Parts 3-4, according to Plan M-144, recorded and registered in the Land Registry Office for the Land Titles Division of Algoma at Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The applicant is seeking relief from the provisions of the Municipality’s Zoning By-Law No. 18-36 and amendments thereto which states that:
Section 7.2.3 – Requires a maximum lot coverage for an accessory structure, not including a swimming pool be 10%

The applicant is seeking approval to increase the lot coverage for an accessory structure from 10% to 12.1%.
The decision may be appealed by the applicant, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the municipality, or any other person who has an interest in the matter pursuant to s. 45(12) of the Planning Act to the LPAT within twenty (20) days of the date of the decision.
