Become a Lifeguard at the Ruben Yli-Juuti Centre!
We're excited to offer the opportunity to train and work as a lifeguard. Below are the essential courses you'll need to complete to earn your certification: Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross with Standard First Aid, and National Lifeguard.
Please note: 100% attendance and participation are required for all courses. These courses involve a significant swimming component, including a timed 400m (16 laps) swim, with times becoming progressively faster as you advance through the courses. You'll also be required to dive to the bottom of the pool to retrieve a weighted object, ranging from 10-20lbs, with the weight increasing as you move through the courses.
