Get ready for a great night out at the 2025 Annual Street Dance in Elliot Lake!

We’re bringing live rock music to the heart of the city with top-notch performers, a vibrant crowd, and a high-energy atmosphere. It’s all happening under the open sky at the Upper Plaza — the perfect setting for a summer evening of music and movement.

Come out, sing along, and dance with friends and neighbours as the sound of rock fills the night air. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun night out, this is one street party you won’t want to miss.

Performing Artists

This year's Headliner, Kim Mitchell is a Canadian rock icon who has sold more than 1.5 million records in Canada, earned 17 Juno Awards nominations, and, in 2021, was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Mitchell is one of the most well-known and peer-respected Canadian guitar players and an acclaimed singer-songwriter who has written many classic rock anthems including Go For Soda,  Rock N Roll Duty, Patio Lanterns, I am a Wild Party, Easy To Tame and All We Are. These hits have become part of the Canadian musical landscape and earned Mitchell three Juno Award wins for  “Male Vocalist of the Year”, “Album of the Year”, and “Most Promising Male Vocalist.”

This years' supporting act, The 99s, are a team of talented musicians unified by their shared love of timeless chart-topping hits, their dynamic stage presence, and their ability to pack the dance floor. With a set-list packed of pop, rock, and R&B favourites from the 70s through the 00s, it’s as impossible to know what's coming next as it is to not shout-sing along to every word.

Kicking off the night are local talents the Dayton Station Rebels and Railroad Steele.

The 2025 Annual Street Dance is more than just a concert—it's a celebration of rock music, dance, and community pride. We look forward to welcoming you to a night filled with electrifying performances and unforgettable memories!

Headliners: The Trews

The achievements of rock ‘n’ roll heavyweights The Trews are many and mighty, highlighted by multiple radio hits drawn from seven critically acclaimed studio albums plus several EPs, a pair of live records, and a retrospective. Among the most prolific, electrifying, and innovative bands on the planet, The Trews — singer/guitarist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, drummer Chris Gormley, and keyboardist Jeff Heisholt — have shared stages with everyone from the Rolling Stones to Weezer, Bruce Springsteen to Rich Robinson, the latter collaboration culminating in three blazing tracks on the band’s latest, The Wanderer, cut in Nashville with the onetime Black Crowes guitarist. Amid the global pandemic, which halted both the Nashville sessions and tour plans for 2018’s epic Civilianaires album, The Trews completed The Wanderer at home in Canada with producers Derek Hoffman and Eric Ratz, emerging with their fiercest and most accomplished set of songs to date, and a heck of backstory to boot.

An internationally celebrated artist, Jess Moskaluke continues to break barriers in the country music world with her big voice, pop-infused hooks and sonic versatility. The first Canadian female country artist since Shania Twain to achieve CRIA Platinum single status with the hit ‘Cheap Wine and Cigarettes’, Moskaluke has since gone on to earn CRIA Gold certifications for ‘Take Me Home’, ‘Kiss Me Quiet’ and a nod for her feature on Paul Brandt’s ‘I’m An Open Road’. She was also notably the first Canadian female country artist since 2008 to have a song in the Top 3 with ‘Drive Me Away'

George rose to becoming one of Canada’s hottest Country Music stars in the early2000’s and has won countless accolades and awards, including Juno Awards, CCMA Awards, and ECMA Awards to name a few. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums, and was presented a certified Platinum Award for his debut album ‘One Good Friend’. With country iconic hits like Just Like You, I Believe in Angels, Drinkin’ Thinkin’, Daughters of the Sun, I Got This, I Want You To Live, Slow Dance and many, many more, he is also a highly regarded humanitarian, strong supporter of the military, and, most important, a proud father and devoted husband.
