Elliot Lake 42nd Annual Santa Claus Parade

Elliot Lake’s 42nd Annual Santa Claus Parade was once again static.

It was held Friday, November 26th, 2021, from 6pm - 8pm, under the theme: Twelve Days of Christmas.

Thank you to all of this year's participants, volunteers, and to everyone who came out to support this event.

 What is a Static Santa Claus Parade?
  • Instead of a regular parade, the static parade will be a collection of floats and displays, dispersed throughout the City, for residents to tour around and enjoy at their leisure
  • Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the Parade from the comfort of their vehicles, City transport, or to tour the route on foot

What was the Parade Route?

  • This year, the static parade will be focused in the Downtown area of Elliot Lake, and only those in the Downtown will be part of a formalized route
  • All participants will be part of the competition and displayed on the parade map for residents and visitors to visit and see at their discretion
  • Pick up a map at the City Hall, or download and print out the parade map and route:

2021 Santa Claus Parade Map

What was the 2021 Parade/Decorating theme?
  • The 2021 Parade/Decorating theme is Twelve Days of Christmas
  • This is modelled after the classic Christmas carol, whose lyrics contain the gifts:
    • a partridge in a pear tree;
    • two French hens;
    • three turtle doves;
    • four calling birds;
    • five golden rings;
    • six geese a-laying;
    • seven swans a-swimming;
    • eight maids a-milking;
    • nine ladies dancing;
    • ten lords a-leaping;
    • eleven pipers piping;
    • and twelve drummers drumming.
  • Embody one of the twelve days in your decorating, or multiple, or all--get creative!
