There are many family-friendly parks and playgrounds for you to enjoy.

Elliot Lake parks and playgrounds

Our well maintained parks and playgrounds include:

Westview Park

Westview Park is located along Highway 108 and features the popular Trans-Canada Trail pavilion. This pavilion is used for many types of events and gatherings. During the warmer seasons, the Horticultural Society maintains many flowers and plants that bloom for all to appreciate.

Westview Park also features:

  • A large, grassy open space
  • Access to nature trails
  • A children's playground
  • Sensory equipment and accessible play structure for all abilities

Miners' Memorial Park

Miners' Memorial Park is the home of the Elliot Lake Mining Monument and the Miners' Memorial. Located off of Highway 108, the park forms a walkway that can lead to the shores of Horne Lake. There is also a pier over the lake where you can relax or fish for rainbow trout, pike, perch and splake.

Glenden Fitness Park

You can find the Glenden Fitness Park at the corner of Washington Crescent and Ottawa Avenue. The park features fitness equipment to encourage healthy living for all ages. It is an active, vibrant centre for those who want to enjoy the outdoors and live a healthy lifestyle.

Kiwanis Park

Kiwanis Park is located on Dieppe Avenue. The park features a basketball court and baseball diamond, a tennis court, a splash pad, skate park and a children's playground. You can find the park beside Rio Den Arena.

Spruce Beach Park

Spruce Beach Park includes many year-round activities. You can swim in Elliot Lake, hike nearby trails or toboggan in the wintertime. The park contains a large, clean sandy area and many spots where you can swim in the fresh water. Our buoys indicate increasing water depth. The park is supervised by lifeguards from July until the end of August from noon to 7:00 p.m.

You can also find a playground structure and changing/washroom facilities at the park. Enjoy a picnic at the benches and grassy areas. Free parking is available.

Spine Beach Park

You can find Spine Beach Park along Spine Road. There are many activities and amenities you can find at this park, including:

  • Large, sandy beach area on Elliot Lake
  • Picnic tables and grassy areas
  • Washroom facilities and change rooms
  • Lifeguard supervision July through August from noon to 7:00 p.m.
  • Large Parking Lot (Accessed via Spine Road)
  • Canoeing, kayaking and fishing
  • Sunset views

Roman Park

You can find Roman Park on the corner of Roman Avenue and Joubin Road. The park features large, grassy open spaces and a playground for kids.

Burley Park

You can find Burley Park on Pearson Drive, behind Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Burley Park includes twin baseball fields, bleachers and a playground structure.

Parsons Park

Parsons Park is on the corner of Spruce Avenue and Central Avenue. Parsons Park includes Centennial Arena and a baseball diamond.

Esten Park Public School

You can find a playground structure and basketball hoops at Esten Park Public School. Access the park off of McQuarrie Place.

Paris Park

Paris Park is at the corner of Paris Drive and Axmith Avenue. The park features a playground, large, grassy open play areas and a basketball court.

Kain Park

You can find Kain Park at the corner of Kain Crescent and Ferguson Road. The park features open, grassy play areas, benches and a basketball court.

Nordic Park

Nordic Park is on Ste Camillus Crescent. Nordic Park has a basketball court, a play structure and large, grassy open areas for play.

Fire Tower Lookout

A play structure, children's play area, picnic tables and washrooms are located at Fire Tower Lookout. Visit the lookout's attraction page to learn more information about the lookout station.

Trailhead Information Centre

The Trailhead Information Centre is at the corner of Highways 17 and 108. Washroom facilities, open grassy play areas, several deer sculptures, picnic areas and benches welcome travellers.

Dog Park

You can bring your dogs to our Dog Park, found on Senator Place, just off Pearson Drive. The park includes a fenced-in area for dogs to run off leash. You can also relax at our park benches and picnic tables. Parking is available outside the main gate.
