The Elliot Lake Nuclear and Mining Museum is located at the Ranger's Heritage Center at the Fire Tower Lookout. It traces the history of the area, starting from a First Nations settlement with logging activity, to the development of Elliot Lake as a mining hub, to the decommissioning of the mines today.
Throughout the museum you can find artifacts, exhibits, newspaper articles from the 1950s when mining activity was strong, animal traps, beaver pelts, mining gear, stuffed and mounted animals and much more.
