The Annual Elliot Lake Ice Fishing Derby takes place every February on the Saturday of the Family Day weekend on Horne Lake. Participants can win thousands of dollars in cash prizes or prestigious take-home prizes from the derby's sponsors.

14th Annual Elliot Lake Ice Fishing Derby, 2021
This year the Annual Ice Fishing Derby will take place February 13th, 2021, on Horne Lake.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there is a limit of 90 spots available and all participants must reside in the Algoma region (East to Spanish and West to Sault Ste. Marie).
When you purchase your ticket determines the time you are allowed on the ice. The earlier you snag your spot can increase your odds of catching the longest fish!

Registration
You can register for the Ice Fishing Derby by visiting the Elliot Lake Welcome Centre at the the Collins Hall, 120 Hillside Drive North (side entrance), or by calling 705-848-2287 ext. 2406.
You must register with your contact information, along with a registration fee for each ice hole you choose to use.
Participants can choose to use up to 2 holes. Each hole costs $113 (HST included).
Rules & Regulations
All participants must follow the rules and regulations of the derby or risk disqualification.
