You can find magnificent rock formations, abandoned logging and mining camps, and accessible wilderness. Discover it all by foot. You are never too far from the city centre.

Trails in the city
From downtown, you can travel to the Fire Tower Lookout with a large trail network in between. Many homes in Elliot Lake back onto extensive forest belts, each with its own network of hiking trails. These urban routes can take you through the city and urban areas if you want to stay close to amenities.
Voyageur Hiking Trail
South of Elliot Lake, you can find the Voyageur Hiking Trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail network.
Mississagi Provincial Park
Hike the many trails within Mississagi Provincial Park. The trails range from 0.5 km to 22 km and are suitable for all skill levels.
