The Deer Trail snowmobile route mirrors the Deer Trail Driving Tour. On this route, you can experience lots of rugged and natural areas along snowmobile trails. The trail is one of the most scenic routes in all of Ontario and takes you back to Elliot Lake easily and safely.

- Distance: 416 kilometres
- Suggested time: One long day or two leisurely days. Many overnight options are on the route.
- Rating: Moderate. You can go up to 80 kilometres without amenities during two segments of the trip.
The Deer Trail Route follows very rugged terrain north of Elliot Lake and takes you through a wide open road bed to Aubrey Falls, the Mississagi River and White River's edge. You then ride through various trails and towns along the north shore of Lake Huron.
