There are many beaches and boat launches throughout the Elliot Lake area for you to use and enjoy.

Beaches

We maintain two different municipal beaches in Elliot Lake.

Spruce Beach

At Spruce Beach, you can swim in Elliot Lake and enjoy the sun with a large, sandy area. Parking is offered off Spruce Avenue and the beach offers many park amenities for playing and picnicking. Washrooms, change rooms and lifeguard services are available. Buoys indicate swimming depths suitable for children.

Spine Beach

At Spine Beach, you can swim in Elliot Lake and enjoy the sun with a large, sandy area. Parking is offered off the west end of Spine Road. The beach offers amenities for picnicking. Washrooms, change rooms and lifeguard services are available. Buoys indicate swimming depths suitable for children.

Lifeguard hours

Both beach facilities are supervised by lifeguards throughout the summer months of July and August.
Supervision hours are:

  • Daily from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Boat Launches

There are boat launches set up at many lakes around Elliot Lake. You can use them to launch boats of any size to enjoy recreational boating and fishing. We maintain many boat launch sites and Mississagi Provincial Park provides access to two sites if you have a park pass.

Most sites have washrooms and picnic areas nearby.

  • Depot Lake
  • Dunlop Lake
  • Elliot Lake
