Location
You can find the City of Elliot Lake in Algoma District within Northern Ontario, and in between the cities of Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury. Elliot Lake sits just north of Lake Huron, with easy access by going north on Ontario Highway 108, just 25 km off the Trans-Canada Highway.
History
Elliot Lake started out as a booming mining town in the 1950s, producing most of the world's uranium for decades. In the early 1990s, mines began closing and the City's population dwindled. Since then cottaging, tourism, new business and new industries have helped the City rebound.
