The library has limited quantities of iPads available to borrow and take home. The device comes preloaded with a variety of apps and also includes a USB power cable, protective cover and handy carrying case.
Terms and Conditions
- One (1) iPad unit per household with a valid adult/senior library card
- The loan period is fourteen (14) days
- Holds are not allowed on iPads
- The iPad must be returned directly to the Elliot Lake Public Library circulation desk. Do not use the drop box
- You will be charged a $5.00/day late fee for every day the iPad is overdue
- There are no renewals. If you wish to take the unit again, the iPad MUST be returned for a minimum of fourteen (14) days before you can take it out again
- You assume financial responsibility for the iPad until it is returned. You are responsible for any intentional or unintentional damage to the iPad by you or anyone else
- You will be charged a $600.00 replacement fee if the iPad is lost, stolen, or damaged during the lending period
- You will be charged a $30.00 replacement fee for each lost or damaged power cord, power adaptor, carrying case, protective shell or other peripheral device provided with the iPad
- The iPad contains standard files and applications ("apps"). Any additional apps or media purchased by you during the lending period must be paid for with your own funds
- You understand that any apps, media, data and/or documents that you download, purchase, create or otherwise save to the iPad during the lending period will be permanently erased and replaced with standard preloaded files and apps when the iPad is returned to the library
