Elliot Lake Public Library offers a wide variety of eBooks, audiobooks, movies and more, to read or stream from your computer, tablet, eReader, smartphone or other digital device. All you need is your library card and a device.
Downloading materials
You can use Overdrive to browse and download thousands of eBooks, audiobooks and movies for adults, teens and children. You must have a valid library card to use this service.
Here's how Overdrive works:
- Find titles in our online catalogue or Overdrive.
- Titles automatically expire after the loan period, so you don't have to worry about returns or late fees.
- You can also place up to 10 holds on items that are already signed out.
- Check out up to 10 eBooks, audiobooks and/or movies.
- Choose either a 7- or 14-day loan period for eBooks and audiobooks.
- Movies expire after 3, 5 or 7 days.
The library offers access to this service with funding from the Government of Ontario.
Borrowing an eReader
If you don't have your own device, you can borrow a Kobo Glo eReader from the library.
Help with Overdrive
Tech Tuesdays is a weekly program that offers help downloading eBooks and audiobooks. You can bring your own device or get assistance downloading items to library eReaders.
