Adult and Senior Programs

The library hosts a number of regular programs designed just for adults and seniors, including book clubs, crafts, movie screenings and tech help.  In addition to these great programs, there are lots of other ways you can enjoy the library. Check out our services and library catalogue.

Book Club

The library hosts an adult and senior book club on the first Tuesday of every month. The club meets at 1 p.m. to discuss the current book selection.  Due to overwhelming interest, we are not accepting new members at this time. To add your name to the waiting list, please contact the circulation desk.

If you are interested in starting your own book club, you can sign out book club kits from the circulation desk.

Colouring, Craft and Conversation

Colouring, Craft and Conversation at Elliot Lake Public Library gives adults and seniors a chance to socialize, reduce stress and get creative.

Join us every second Thursday from 1 – 3 p.m. for fun craft and colouring activities. We provide colouring pages, coloured pencils and markers. If you prefer, you can bring your own craft project to work on. Refreshments are provided.

Movies

Enjoy an afternoon or evening at the movies at the Elliot Lake Public Library! Adults and seniors can join us in our Program Room for cinema classics, new releases, and documentary screenings. This program runs from mid September to mid June.

Admission is free and refreshments are provided. We recommend arriving early as seating is limited.

Movie dates and times are listed on our Library calendar.

Tech Tuesdays

Adults and seniors can get help downloading audiobooks and eBooks during Tech Tuesdays at Elliot Lake Public Library.

Register for a 30-minute session with library staff on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. You must have a valid library card to use this service. You may schedule one appointment per month. To register, visit the front desk or contact the library circulation desk.

Make sure you bring any devices you need to download content (laptop, smartphone, eReader, etc.). Assistance is provided for audiobooks and eBooks only. No other computer-related help will be provided during these sessions.
