Low fire danger; burning can only be conducted after 6 pm or before 10 am. See burn permit for instructions. |
MODERATE |
Moderate risk of fire of fire spreading; burning can only be conducted after 6 pm or before 10 am. See burn permit for instructions. |
HIGH |
High risk of fire spreading from dry conditions; burning can only be conducted after 6 pm or before 10 am. See burn permit for instructions. |
EXTREME |
Extremely high risk of fire spreading from very dry conditions; burning can only be conducted after 6 pm or before 10 am. See burn permit for instructions. |
FIRE BAN |
NO OPEN BURNING. By law, you cannot have an outdoor fire until conditions are safe to do so as deemed by the Fire Chief. |
The Elliot Lake Fire Department will adopt a common Forest Fire Rating System in an effort to help the residents and visitors to our area better understand the Fire Rating in effect. |
