Our Public Works Department develop reports that are important for the operations of the City.

These reports have lots of information about City of Elliot Lake energy conservation and consumption, waste management, drinking water quality management, water and wastewater treatment and building permit fees.

Proposed New Arts and Culture Centre - Winter 2023 Update

The City and community partners are striving to replace arts and culture infrastructure lost when the Pearson Civic Centre roof collapsed and was eventually demolished.  Council's vision includes a performing arts theatre, dynamic and inclusive museum, art gallery space and a Welcome Centre on Hwy 108. On February 28, 2023 the city applied to the Federal government's Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Grant program for a net carbon zero arts centre (total cost estimate $27M). A funding decision can take several months. Fundraising efforts and other grant applications are currently being developed. More information will be released when the next steps begin to clarify.
