Council Members

The City of Elliot Lake is led by a 7-member Council made up of the elected mayor and six councillors elected at large.

The City of Elliot Lake's 2022-26 City Council includes:

Council Workshops

From time to time, Council may also hold Council Workshops. These are informal, public meetings designed to help Council learn about specific topics, explore ideas in more detail, and receive presentations or background information from staff or guest experts. Workshops are for discussion and education only and no decisions are made at these sessions.

Councillor Andrew Wannan

  • Graduated from the University of Guelph with a doctor in Veterinary Medicine in 2004
  • Owner of the Elliot Lake Animal Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Elliot Lake for 11 years.
  • Married with 3 children 
  • Very involved in the outdoors and athletics within the community

  • Born and raised in Elliot LakeCouncillor Charlie Flintoff
  • Married to wife Lisa, proud father of son Charlie and daughter Heather 
  • 40 years in the retail automotive business
  • Involved in many sports leagues, Trout Unlimited and Chamber of Commerce 
  • Avid tennis player, golfer, skier and hockey player (or try to anyway!)

  • Coun. Norman MannLifelong resident of Elliot Lake.
  • Received an Honours Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor in 1993.
  • Employed with Huron Lodge as Chief Executive Officer.
  • Three-time past president of the Rotary Club of Elliot Lake and Paul Harris Fellow.
  • Former trustee with St. Joseph's General Hospital.
  • Wants continued prosperity for future generations of Elliot Lake residents, including his children.

  • Owner of Alpine Flowers & Gifts since 1996
  • Volunteer with many organizations over the years, past active member of the Elliot Lake Entertainment Series and ELATE (Elliot Lake Amateur Theatre Ensemble)
  • Strong advocate for shopping locally
