The City of Elliot Lake is led by a 7-member Council made up of the elected mayor and six councillors elected at large.

Mayor Dan Marchisella
  • Mayor Dan MarchisellaBorn and raised in Elliot Lake.
  • Married to Misty, with three children: Brody, Logan and Hope.
  • First elected Mayor in 2014 and again in October 2018
  • Presided over Council and sat on multiple committees 
  • Spent six years with the Canadian Forces, with one tour in Afghanistan.
  • Graduated with honours from the Business program at Algonquin College.
  • Completed multiple courses on budgeting, procurement and ethics while employed with the Public Service for the Department of National Defence.
  • Committed to the development of sustainable industry for Elliot Lake, a diversification of recreation for all age groups and free competitive practice for business growth.

Councillor Luc Cyr (Deputy Mayor)
  • Coun. Luc CyrResiding in Elliot Lake since 1974 except for a nine-year period from 1988 - 1996.
  • Husband to Nancy and a father to Danielle.
  • Fully bilingual in English and French.
  • Committed to economic growth and to ensuring long-term sustainability.
  • Welcomes residents to communicate their concerns and needs.
  • Supports improving city accessibility for all residents.
  • Dedicated to work restoring trust, fairness and openness of City Council.

  • Coun. Ed PearceGraduate of the University of Saskatchewan.
  • Background in communications and marketing.
  • Active in a wide range of community affairs.
  • Former chair of the Community Liaison Committee and Residential Commission.
  • Currently a director of ELNOS and chair of The Solutions Group.
  • Dedicated to economic development and diversification.
  • Married to Dianna McInnes, who was raised in Elliot Lake. We have three sons and five grandchildren.
  • An avid gardener, poor golfer and crossword puzzle addict.

Councillor Norman Mann
  • Coun. Norman MannLifelong resident of Elliot Lake.
  • Received an Honours Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor in 1993.
  • Employed with Huron Lodge as Chief Executive Officer.
  • Three-time past president of the Rotary Club of Elliot Lake and Paul Harris Fellow.
  • Current trustee with St. Joseph's General Hospital.
  • Wants continued prosperity for future generations of Elliot Lake residents, including his children.
