Please be aware, due to the excess moisture and softening grounds half load restrictions have been put in place on Dunlop Shores Rd. and Stanrock Rd. to prevent damage to the roadways. These restrictions limit loads to a maximum of 5 tonnes per axle.   Half load restrictions will be lifted once City staff have deemed the roads dry and stable enough to handle the full load weight.   For more info. please contact 705-915-0357

Elliot Lake, Ontario, April 11, 2025. Fire Chief John Thomas announced today that on Friday April 11, 2025 at 13:33 hrs, the Elliot Lake Fire Department received a 911 call for a working garage fire at 8A Washington Crescent.   Upon arrival on scene, the fire department crew reported heavy fire and smoke conditions.
