Reminder for Off-Road Vehicle Riders
Posted On Tuesday April 21, 2026
The City of Elliot Lake is a great place to enjoy off-road riding!
To help keep everyone safe, there are a few important rules to keep in mind as we head into summer.
Off-road vehicles (ATVs, side-by-sides, UTVs, etc.) are not permitted on City streets or across Highway 108, except for direct travel between your residence and designated trails. Riders should also remember to always follow provincial regulations under the Highway Traffic Act and Off-Road Vehicles Act.
Additionally, riders are reminded that vehicles are not permitted on City sidewalks, boulevards, or in the downtown core. Failure to comply with the By-Law may result in a fine of $235 plus applicable costs.
No matter how you ride, please remember to do so safely. For more info. on riding in Elliot Lake we encourage you to reach out to the Elliot Lake ATV Club.
