Cameco Supports Arena Repair in Elliot Lake
This morning, Deputy Mayor Charles Flintoff accepted a generous donation of $10,000 toward the repair of the Rogers Arena (formerly Centennial Arena) from Cameco. On hand to announce the donation was Mr. Terry Davis, General Manager, and employees of the Blind River Refinery.
“We are so appreciative of this donation” said Deputy Mayor Flintoff. Adding, “we have received such wonderful support not only from Elliot Lake businesses and residents but also from partners from outside the community. We know that some of Cameco’s employees are Elliot Lake residents and are very grateful to Cameco for supporting, the structural repairs to the Rogers Arena for their staff and all Elliot Lakers”
Speaking on behalf of Cameco, Mr. Davis added “Cameco is proud to help support the revitalization of the arena. It is a hub in the community where local and area residents of all ages gather to play and connect with each other.”
