At Monday night’s Committee of the Whole meeting, Mr. Chris Perry of Perry & Perry Architects presented an update to Council regarding the ongoing repairs at Rogers Arena.
Repairs at the Arena remain on budget and on schedule. Installation of the new Knee Braces has now been completed and the shoring towers which had been in place to support the roof are now being removed.
Work will now begin on replacing the concrete apron surrounding the ice pad to allow for the floor to be properly compacted and leveled in preparation for the new rink boards and stands to be installed.
Renovations to the lobby area and to the building’s facade are also continuing smoothly. A number of renderings were shown during the meeting which give an idea of what the final product could potentially look like.
